Family, fellow Marines remember Lance Corporal Harry Kito

Family, friends and fellow U.S. Marines stopped by KFSK-FM Friday, Nov. 9th, 2012 to honor Lance Corporal Donald “Harry” Kito of Petersburg. He was killed while fighting in Vietnam July 8th, 1967 at the age of 25. The family and marines were in town for the dedication of a bridge in Kito’s honor south of Petersburg.

Earlier this month, the U.S. Forest service celebrated the 50th anniversary of the National Historic Preservation Act with a picnic celebration at the Three Lakes Shelter near Petersburg. Abbey Collins made the trip out the road to see science, history and community come together in the woods. more
