Petersburg gun range work underway

Petersburg’s gun range is getting some big improvements this summer and the work is scheduled to start up this week. The work’s funded by three state grants totaling 100-thousand dollars. Joe Viechnicki spoke with Chris Cotta, the borough’s assistant public works director and the president of the Petersburg Rod and Gun Club about the project.

The construction will mean intermittent closures at the gun range between now and the end of August. Notices will be on the radio and the borough’s website.

Strong king catch means early closure for Southeast trollers

It looks like the Petersburg borough will be purchasing some land at Papke’s Landing, about 10 miles south of town. more
