More than 200 runners are descending on Petersburg today for a cross country meet tomorrow. Petersburg High School is hosting a regional meet that includes 15 teams.
Jaime Cabral is the school district’s athletic director. He spoke with Angela Denning about the race details:

At the same time Cabral’s been coordinating the cross country meet, he has been coaching volleyball. This week, Petersburg has been hosting Mt. Edgecumbe on the home court which follows home games against Juneau-Douglas. Cabral spoke with Angela Denning about how it’s been going for the team:

Petersburg lost both matches to Mt. Edgecumbe this week.

Scores in the first match were 25-10, 25-15, and 25-17.

Scores in the second match were 25-9, 25-15, and 25-14.

Next up for Petersburg High School volleyball is a match up against Thunder Mountain in Juneau, September 19.
