PETERSBURG-AK Alaskan lawmakers are considering legislation that would require health insurance companies cover the diagnosis and treatment for autism. Supporters say the measures would help children access better treatment for the disorder. As it is, parents of autistic children say they have to write grants and pay thousands out of pocket to cover therapy and counseling costs.
