PETERSBURG, ALASKA
She was the only one of three finalists who interviewed in Petersburg. Medical Center Board President Tom Abbott says she impressed those involved in the hiring.

"t was very evident after we met Liz that she was everything that she appeared to be on paper. We were all very excited about her potential."

Woodyard will begin work in mid-July. She replaces retiring administrator John Bringhurst.

Woodyard has masters’ degrees in education and nursing.

"Quality of care, patient care is extremely important to her. She uses a lot of benchmarks to monitor quality care. So she seemed like a very good fit for where we want to move into the future here with the medical center."

A phone message left for Woodyard was not returned in time for this report.
