About 25 Petersburg residents rallied outside of the local courthouse today protesting the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court. The Senate Judiciary Committee approved his nomination Friday morning along party lines with a vote of 11-10. Petersburg protesters chanted messages to Alaska’s Senators Lisa Murkowski and Dan Sullivan, asking them to vote no in the final confirmation vote, which has yet to be scheduled.
