A 19-year-old from Juneau wants to start his own solo walk across the United States this summer, despite the global pandemic and widespread protests across the nation.
Andrew Weller, who turns 20 in July, graduated from Petersburg High School in 2018. He hopes to walk from Virginia to California, inspired by pop-singer Mike Posner’s journey across the country last year. Weller has started an online fund raising site for his trek and flew out of Juneau last week bound for Virginia. Joe Viechnicki spoke with Weller about his plans.
