School starts in Petersburg next week, and teachers are busy preparing for the year ahead. KFSK is sharing conversations with new teachers all week.
This year may be kindergarten teacher Kacey Hammer’s first year in the classroom, but she’s already spent a lot of time at the elementary school as a parent, substitute teacher, and lunch lady. Hammer told KFSK’s Taylor Heckart that she’s coming into the classroom with a lot of experience with young children.
Hammer said she is looking forward to building relationships with her students this year.
