Petersburg on diesel backup power after outage Sunday

A power outage kept Petersburg in the dark for two and half hours on Sunday. The outage started at about 2:00 p.m.

PHS cross country teams head to Regions in Sitka

The Petersburg High School cross country teams are heading to Sitka for the Southeast Regional meet this weekend. They will take the seven fastest runners from each team. Last weekend they were in Ketchikan and finished first among the small schools division.

Dedication ceremony held for Petersburg elementary school carving

A wooden sculpture of an eagle and killer whale was presented to the Rae C. Stedman Elementary School in Petersburg, Sept 19. The sculpture has been erected in front of the school in the rock garden.
