Only a few days of the Central Southeast moose hunt left

The Central Southeast moose hunt is wrapping up, with less than a week before the season ends. Hunters have harvested 100 bull moose in the fall hunt near Petersburg, Wrangell, and Kake as of October 9.

WAVE’s new director arrives in Petersburg

Petersburg’s violence prevention and advocacy organization has a new director. Sklyer DuPont has actually been working remotely for WAVE since this summer, but only arrived in Petersburg a couple weeks ago after months of searching for a place to live.

City Creek Trail will be nearly 10 times longer after PIA expansion

Petersburg boy and girls are cross country state champions!

The Petersburg High School cross country teams – boys and girls – are champions in the 1A and 2A division after the state meet at Bartlett High School in Anchorage this weekend. It’s the first time in Petersburg cross country history the team has won a double championship.
