Petersburg’s Rotary club last week hosted the organization’s District Governor and Assistant Governor to Alaska. Rotary is the largest service organization in the world with well over a million members.

A farmed salmon net pen owned by Cook Aquaculture broke over the weekend releasing thousands of the farmed fish into the ocean near Washington. Conservationists call it a nightmare and local tribe declares a state of emergency.
