The State of Alaska is alleging that 53-year old Randy Long sold methamphetamine in Petersburg. A Felony First Hearing is scheduled for May 3 at 3:30 p.m.

SAIL advocate Leslie Wood will be in Petersburg May 3-5 to meet with people about independent living challenges and introduce a new program for veterans. She can also help people with Medicare.

The Petersburg borough assembly is meeting at noon, May 1 for a regular meeting. The meeting is open to the public and KFSK will be broadcasting the meeting live.

A $4,500 chair is being purchased to help patients receiving cancer treatment at the Petersburg Medical Center with funds raised by the local nonprofit group Beat the Odds.
