PETERSBURG-AK For a little over a year, thousands of Alaskan residents have been taking advantage of an energy rebate program that reimburses homeowners for retrofitting their homes. The goal is to make houses more energy efficient, thereby lessening dependence on fossil fuels and lowering homeowners heating costs. Alex Hotz has a closer look at the program.
