PETERSBURG, AK Local painter Don Cornelius opens up a solo art show tonight at the Clausen Museum. The show is called “Wanderings” and features nearly 50 landscapes and portraits done in oil and alkyd paints. It’s Cornelis’ first solo show in five years, and it includes plein air paintings done in the past five years in the great outdoors of Alaska, British Columbia, Nevada, Utah, Wisconsin and the West Coast. Joe Viechnicki spoke with Cornelius about his latest work.
