PETERSBURG-AK Central Southeast Alaska had a record moose harvest this year. The month-long season closed on the 15th and by then, hunters had taken a t least 107 moose. This year’s liberalized antler restrictions made a broader segment of the bull population legal to kill. Matt Lichtenstein spoke with Alaska Fish and Game’s Petersburg and Wrangell area Wildlife Biologist Rich Lowell just after the season ended:
