PETERSBURG, AK Governor Sean Parnell received an enthusiastic welcome Friday in Petersburg. Local residents thanked him for sparing most of Petersburg’s capital project funding requests from a line-item veto. As a result, state grant money will pay for over 10 million dollars in new building construction and renovations in the next few years.
