PETERSBURG-AK The City of Petersburg is planning to start a major overhaul of Main Street this fall and planners are trying to minimize disruptions to local businesses. Limited funding led planners to downsize the scope of the project. It’s managed by the State Department of Transportation with ongoing involvement from Petersburg. DOT staff and consultants recently went through the design with city officials. Matt Lichtenstein has this update
