The Alaska Legislature approved more than 13 million dollars for projects within the City of Petersburg as well as 40 million dollars for a gravel road to Kake before adjourning early Monday Morning. Petersburg officials have been excited about the City’s share of the 2-point-nine billion dollar capital budget. However, as Matt Lichtenstein reports, the proposed road to Kake remains controversial and is expected to be on the agenda at an upcoming city council meeting.
March 31 is the deadline to make a donation to a nonprofit through your Permanent Fund Dividend. Thank You for supporting Petersburg nonprofits!!
