Petersburg’s domestic violence prevention nonprofit, Working Against Violence for Everyone (WAVE), is rolling out a program for families with children. While the organization already served families with its other programs, federal grant funding allowed WAVE to expand services specifically meant for families.

WAVE board member Erin Michael and Executive Director Rikki McKay spoke with KFSK about the new service and some of WAVE’s existing programming. McKay said that the organization currently has three areas of focus.

McKay emphasized that WAVE is an organization dedicated to helping anyone in the community. More information about WAVE can be found at petersburgwave.org.
