It’s back-to-school season in Petersburg, and the Petersburg School District has welcomed multiple new teachers to town. KFSK will be sharing conversations with new teachers all week.
Trevor Wilson is a new 4th grade teacher, and while he may be new to Petersburg, he’s not new to Alaska. Wilson grew up in Unalaska, and taught third and fourth grade in his hometown for two years before moving to Petersburg.
Wilson said he wants his students to know that he likes having fun in the classroom, and he’s looking forward to having them in his class. He said he also wants parents to know that they’re welcome to come talk to him with any questions or concerns.
The first day of school in Petersburg is September 2.
