School starts in Petersburg next week, and teachers are busy preparing for the year ahead. KFSK is sharing conversations with new teachers all week.

Trinity Edwards will be teaching pre-algebra, algebra and assisting with 6th grade music. Edwards is a recent graduate of Carroll College in Helena, Montana, and this will be her first year teaching. Edwards told KFSK’s Taylor Heckart that she has a lot of ideas after finishing her student teaching.

You can find more interviews with this year’s new teachers here. The first day of school is September 2.
