Petersburg’s Borough Assembly has two open seats in the Oct. 7 municipal election. Five people are running for a 3-year term.

One of the candidates is Bob Martin, 57. He is a commercial salmon fisherman, born and raised in Petersburg. 

Martin sat down with KFSK’s Olivia Rose to talk about why he decided to run for assembly for the first time.

The other candidates for assembly are Tony Vinson, Raliegh Cook, Jeff Meucci, and incumbent Donna Marsh.

Petersburg’s municipal election is Tuesday, Oct. 7. Early voting is available weekdays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. downstairs at the municipal building until  Oct. 6 at noon.
