Petersburg’s Borough Assembly has two open seats in the Oct. 7 municipal election. Five people are running for a 3-year term.
One of the candidates is Raliegh Cook, 55. He’s a builder who works on boats, houses and roads. He has lived in Petersburg for most of his life.
Cook sat down with KFSK’s Olivia Rose to talk about why he decided to run for assembly for the first time.

The other candidates for assembly are Bob Martin, Tony Vinson, Jeff Meucci, and incumbent Donna Marsh.
Petersburg’s municipal election is Tuesday, Oct. 7. Early voting is available weekdays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. downstairs at the municipal building until Oct. 6 at noon.
