Petersburg’s Tribal election: four candidates on a united ticket challenge incumbents
Petersburg’s Tribe has an unusually contested election this year. Five seats are on the ballot and incumbents are running to retain all five seats. Four new candidates are working together to challenge the incumbents, including council president. The four say they got interested in running when they felt consistently unheard during Tribal decisions around how to spend more than three million dollars in federal grant money.
