Red king crab commercial permit holders in Southeast Alaska will have a better chance of fishing in the coming seasons. That’s after the Alaska Board of Fisheries approved a change in management regulations that was proposed by the state department. It allows for a smaller, conservative commercial fishery when crab stocks aren’t enough to open the typical competitive fishery.
