PETERSBURG-AK Local electricity concerns featured prominently at this week’s city council meeting (8/18) in Petersburg. The council touched on a broad range of power issues – from a resident’s concern over the hook-up costs at Frederick point north – to the latest on the proposed electrical intertie to kake. The council also agreed to hire a consultant who will help the city pursue a couple options for new hydro-electric plants.
