PETERSBURG-AK Petersburg school officials are proposing a long-term, local funding plan for the district. It calls on the city to gradually ratchet-up local education spending over the next decade. The idea is to plan ahead for the anticipated loss of federal funds. The School Board and City Council met in an informal work session to discuss the issue Monday.
