PETERSBURG, AK In any big city, it’s a common sight on city sidewalks to see someone, guitar case open, performing for tip money. It’s not so common in a small Alaskan town like Petersburg, but for the past few years, summertime visitors and residents have been enjoying the talents of 11-year-old fiddle player Elliot Benda. He spends his winters in Mt. Shasta California, and comes with his family on their boat to Petersburg during the summer. While he’s here, Benda sets up shop in downtown Petersburg and plays. Joe Viechnicki spoke the young fiddle player this week on Main Street
