PETERSBURG, AK The big, brown, blank wall at Petersburg High School is blank no longer. The school has installed a new colorful 48-foot long student mural representing the many cultures of Petersburg. High school students painted the mural last spring in the high school wrestling room. School staff attached the last of the twelve panels to the building this week. Students and their art teacher Ashley DuRoss will introduce the community to the new art work during the Octoberfest Artshare this Saturday at 2 p.m. Joe Viechnicki spoke with high school students Rhiannon and Kieth Kivisto and Ariel Fonseca about the mural project.
