PETERSBURG, AK Petersburg’s city council Tuesday voted to take a step forward on two local capital projects – a new library building and a new vehicle-accessible float in South Harbor. The council approved a design contract for the new library even though voters will still have to decide on a major piece of the funding for that new building this fall. Councilors also supported a contract for design and permit work on a drive-down dock.
