PETERSBURG, AK The rain held off Saturday afternoon for the 18th edition of the Humpy 500 go cart race down the in Petersburg. This year’s race featured a dozen 55-gallon drum go carts decked out to look like everything from a Viking ship, to the Whiskey November buoy, to a sea horse. Joe Viechnicki stopped by Petersburg Fisheries plant during the cart judging just before Saturday’s race and put together this audio postcard.
