The number of small cruise ship passengers visiting Petersburg may double this summer. Two new companies will be bringing their boats to town. The visits will help fill the void left by Cruise West, which shut down a couple years ago. On the fishing lodge and charter front, some operators are expecting another slow season, while interest in nature tours may be on the upswing.
