Petersburg’s harbors will see a flurry of major construction over the next few years. With nearly 10 million dollars more in state funding secured this year, the city will move ahead with the North Harbor replacement, the new commercial drive-down dock and improvements to the crane dock. Beside the nearly 10 million dollars in harbor projects, another million dollars in this year’s state capital budget will fund other renovations and repairs for buildings around Petersburg. The money will pay for improvements at Sandy Beach Park, a new hospital roof and various upgrades to the 100-year-old Sons of Norway hall. Joe Viechnicki reports:
