The city of Petersburg is planning to create committee to encourage people to vote for borough formation this winter. The City Council brainstormed ideas on that front during its regular meeting Monday. In other business, the Council approved another sales-tax free day as well as a new revenue study for Petersburg Power and Light. And the council learned that Mountain View Manor’s financial situation is on the upswing. All apartments are full and the facility has been permitted to increase its assisted-Living residences. Matt Lichtenstein has more detail from this week’s Council meeting.
March 31 is the deadline to make a donation to a nonprofit through your Permanent Fund Dividend. Thank You for supporting Petersburg nonprofits!!
