The jury began deliberating Friday night in the trial of a Petersburg man who had an armed confrontation with local police last fall. The state alleges that 30-year-old Jace Cunningham fired his assault rifle and threatened to shoot officers when he encountered them at a roadblock on Frederick Point Road.
