Petersburg High School boys swim team took second place in a meet in Ketchikan over the weekend. Metlakatla and Thunder Mountain were also competing.

Petersburg Coach Andy Carlisle spoke with Angela Denning about the meet and says it went “okay”.

Carlisle explains in the interview that although the boys took second place overall they won many of the individual events. On Friday alone, they won eight events.

Petersburg took the top three spots in the boys 200 free style with Abel Aulbach in first, Ian Fleming in second, and Ben Higgins in third.

Skipper Erickson took first in the boys 50 free.

Evan Marsh took first in the 100 fly. He also won the 100 backstroke.

Abel Aulbach took first in the 500 free.

Britton Erickson won the one meter dives.

Izabelle Ith won the girls 200 individual medley.

And Mariah Taylor took first in the girls 100 breaststroke.
