Petersburg boys and girls track teams took third place in Ketchikan over the weekend beating out some 4A schools. Other teams competing included Thunder Mountain, Juneau, Sitka and Thorne Bay. Sitka and Thunder Mountain took first and second places.

It was the first meet of the season for most of Petersburg’s team. Coach Brad Taylor said the weather was a little rainy but the team did really well.

The next meet for the team is in two weeks in Juneau.
