Petersburg High School girls cross country team came in second at a meet in Juneau Saturday. Petersburg missed tying the top team in the region, Juneau Douglas, by one point.

Kayliegh Eddy led the team in with a fifth place finish, followed by Melanie Chase in sixth, Erin Pfundt in eight, Shyla Cook in tenth and Julia Murph in 14th. The boys team took seventh overall. Nathaniel Lenhard was 24th, followed by Tolin Eddy in 30th.

The teams head to the region meet this weekend in Sitka.
