Petersburg High School swimmers shaved time off in multiple events at a meet in Juneau last Friday and Saturday. The girls team took fourth place both days and the boys team placed fourth on Friday and fifth on Saturday.

In individual results, Alyssa Guthrie was first in the 100 breaststroke and third in the 200 yard individual medley. Allie Morgan took second in both the 50 free and the 100 backstroke. Maria Pfundt was third in the 100 butterfly. The girls 200 free relay team of Pfundt, Morgan, Guthrie and Maddy Whitethorn took third.

For the boys Peter Kowalski was second in the 100 free. Rylan Wallace was third in the 100 butterfly. The boys 200 free relay team of Kowalski, Caleb Pfundt, Sean Spigelmyre and Wallace placed second.

The teams next head to Ketchikan in the middle of the month before hosting the region meet at the end of October.
