Petersburg High School’s baseball team played in Sitka last week and lost three games. The team lost the first game 11-3 and that was their best game, says Head Coach Jim Engell.
He says it was a quick turn-around trip. The players flew over to Sitka Wednesday afternoon and immediately hit the field for the first game. They flew back Friday morning after two games on Thursday.
Engell spoke with KFSK’s Angela Denning about how the games went.
The Vikings baseball team will play at home over the Little Norway Festival weekend against Thunder Mountain from Juneau. Then Petersburg will travel to Juneau for the regional tournament.
