The Petersburg borough in March recognized local Girl Scout gold award winner Leesa Murph. The 17-year-old attained that honor last November after completing a project to provide life jackets at the Blaquiere Point boat ramp on southern Mitkof Island. She joins her older siblings in achieving scouting’s highest honor. Joe Viechnicki spoke with Murph about her project and the recognition.
