Petersburg High School’s class of 2022 receives their diplomas Tuesday, May 31st at the high school gym. After two years of pandemic restrictions, it’s a return to the traditional graduation ceremony with no attendance limitations.

The class has 32 students graduating. The valedictorian of the class is Leiah Kittams and salutatorian is Rose Quitslund. Maddie Gilpin and Bergen Kludt-Painter will give the class history and Allie Morgan will present the class gift.

Joe Viechnicki spoke with Jill Lenhard, one of the senior class advisors and the featured speaker at commencement.

The PHS graduation in at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the high school gym. The class this month was awarded $80,505 in scholarships from local sources and $842,240 in total scholarship money for their education beyond high school.
