Mitkof Middle School’s cross country team hosted an invitational meet last month. [September 17] Three other schools participated from Ketchikan and Wrangell.

For the girls division, Mitkof Middle School took 1st place with 30 points, Schoenbar Middle School of Ketchikan took 2nd with 35 points, Stikine Middle School from Wrangell placed 3rd with 64 points, and Ketchikan Charter School from Ketchikan placed 4th with 115 points.

For the boys division, Schoenbar Middle School took 1st with 26 points, Mitkof Middle School took 2nd with 32 points, Stikine Middle School placed 3rd with 79 points, and Ketchikan Charter School placed 4th at 109 points.

Mitkof Middle School’s cross country team also attended a regional meet in Haines on September 24th where four schools participated.

Mitkof Middle School’s girls team took 1st place with 29 points and the boys team took 2nd place with 41 points.

The season runs mid-August through September.
