Sport fishermen won’t be able to fish for king salmon at a popular slough near Petersburg this summer because of low projected returns. But anglers in boats will be able to fish for kings in the saltwater at the mouth of the slough. As KFSK’s Hannah Flor reports, some fishermen are frustrated with the plan.

Petersburg’s Borough Assembly will consider a new subdivision zoned for mobile homes at its meeting tonight. The assembly will take public feedback on an ordinance to rezone a lot in a residential area in town for mobile homes, but intended for stick built and manufactured homes.

Petersburg’s emergency personnel responded to a remote area on June 7th after receiving an emergency call at approximately 8 a.m. They were told that a man in his mid-50s was experiencing stroke symptoms at Blind River Rapids.
