The city of Petersburg has dropped all but one of the claims it made in suing the Alaska Redistricting Board over new legislative districts. But the city is still arguing that a proposed house and senate district in northern Southeast does not meet a Constitutional requirement.

Petersburg’s elected leaders have mixed feelings about continuing with a legal challenge to the Alaska Redistricting Board’s plan for new legislative boundaries. And local leaders will soon have to decide whether to spend more money on the lawsuit.
