Southeast Alaska to get first commercial red king crab fishery in 8 years
Commercial openings for the low-volume, high-value red king crab fishery have been few and far between in Southeast Alaska. But this year, crab stock conditions are adequate for a competitive commercial fishery, according to surveys done by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.
