KAKE, AK Spirits were high at Kake’s 16th annual Dog Salmon Festival this weekend. Damp marine weather made for a lower than normal turnout at the native community’s festival on the Northwest end of Kupreanof island. The skies cleared the day of the festival and attendees enjoyed Native foods and various races and prizes.
