PETERSBURG-AK Contrast and color compliment curves and angles, shadows and light in a new series of oil paintings by Petersburg’s Ashley DuRoss. DuRoss is one of eight artists recently selected to do solo shows at the Anchorage Museum over the next few years as part of the Patricia B. Wolf Solo Exhibition Series. The program is highly competitive, according to the museum’s website, which says 70 artists applied. DuRoss draws inspiration from architecture in “Hybrid Spaces Three” which goes on display tonight (5/20) with a 5pm artists reception at Petersburg’s Clausen Museum.
