Two separate but related cleanup efforts are getting underway this weekend in Petersburg. The City is sponsors an annual Earth Day event that starts on Sunday and runs for a week. Participants who collect the most garbage from public spaces around town can win a prize. Meanwhile, a private citizen is promoting a city-wide drive for people to buy dump vouchers and clean-up their own yards.
