Petersburg’s City Council may ask Governor Sean Parnell to veto the legislature’s 40 million dollar appropriation for a gravel road between Petersburg and Kake. After testimony from several area residents Monday night, the Council voted four to one to draft a resolution opposing the road money. They won’t actually vote on the resolution itself until another meeting later this month. Matt Lichtenstein reports:
